I am losing this weight loss battle and it is not because I eat too darn much or because I am lazy. It is because I have viewed my body with a whole lot of hostility.To make a positive change do I have to view myself in a negative light? Yes I am overweight. Yes I do eat the wrong stuff and sit too much but am I gonna change it if I am judgemental about my habits? I don't think so. The fact is I need to be more understanding of myself and what motivates my choices. I need to think,dress,and groom myself in a way that says I love and accept myself for who I am right now. If I can do that then won't I be more likely to start healthy practices that will further my love and admiration for myself.
Lose with love.In fact if there is anything you feel you need to change don't view it in a negative light. Change it with love. Acknowledge that there are no perfect people and that the person you are right now is okay. Shoot you brought yourself this far didn't you? Congratulate yourself for a job if not well done then done to the best of your ability at the time. Then grow some more,do some more. Make a change without shame or blame for who you are right now.Lets see if this gives better results.
